HANDS-ON EXERCISE

The following hands-on exercises are designed to assist you in practising the various lessons in this section. Where constituted, you’re encouraged to carryout this exercises in groups for collaboration and effective results.

Exercise 1: Camp Tour Video Recording

• • Objective: Improve your confidence to utilise and stand before the camera.
  • Instructions:
    1. Appoint two participants to serve as camera men for each breakout group
    2. Appoint a participants with a good command of English to serve as the broadcaster
    3. Record the various points allocated to your team.
    4. Use voice over to minimise noise.

Exercise 2: Camp Tour Video Editing

• • Objective: Practice video editing techniques using Capcut.
  • Instructions:
    1. Download the Video Script Here
    2. Import the camp tour video clips into Capcut.
    3. Arrange the clips on the timeline, trim and cut as needed, and add transitions between scenes.
    4. Enhance your video with basic effects, adjust audio levels, and add titles or graphics.
    5. Export the final video and review the result to ensure it meets the desired quality and format

Exercise 3: SAED Documentary Voice-over

• • Objective: Practice video voice over and audio editing techniques using Capcut.
  • Instructions:
    1. Download the Voice Over Script & Record.
    2. Import the documentary video clips into Capcut.
    3. Arrange the clips on the timeline, trim and cut as needed, and add transitions between scenes.
    4. Import and arrange recorded voice overs.
    5. Enhance your video with basic effects, adjust audio levels, and add titles or graphics.
    6. Export the final video and review the result to ensure it meets the desired quality and format
