The following hands-on exercises are designed to assist you in practising the various lessons in this section. Where constituted, you’re encouraged to carryout this exercises in groups for collaboration and effective results.
Exercise 1: Create an Instagram Ad Campaign

- Choose the target audience based on demographics, interests, and behaviors.
- Select ad placements (e.g., Feed, Stories, Reels).
- Set a budget and schedule for the campaign.
- Create an ad using a chosen format (e.g., Carousel Ads) and write engaging copy with a clear CTA.
- Review and publish the ad campaign.
- Deliverables: Submit screenshots of each step in the ad setup process and a brief explanation of your chosen audience, ad format, and objectives.
Exercise 2: Analyze Instagram Insights

- Objective: Analyze the performance of a business’s Instagram profile using Instagram Insights.
- Instructions:
- Access Instagram Insights for a Page (or use a sample profile provided).
- Review key metrics such as engagement rates, reach, impressions, and follower demographics.
- Identify which types of content (e.g., photos, videos, Stories) perform best and the optimal times for posting.
- Based on your analysis, suggest three improvements for increasing engagement and reach.
- Deliverables: Provide a report summarizing the insights, including screenshots of key metrics, and recommendations for optimizing the Instagram strategy.
